Our Purchasing Policy
Our suppliers are integral to our business partnership ecosystem, and as such, make key contributions to the achievement of our strategic objectives. Therefore, our supplier relationship management approach considers every aspect of our business relationship.
We work with our suppliers to create a better society, reduce environmental impact and deliver sustainable shared value. The RICOH Group Supplier Code of Conduct is based on the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct, and we work with suppliers, and all those involved in the entire supply chain to implement the code.
This is reflected in the RICOH Group Supplier and Partner Code of Conduct.
Standards
Environment
RICOH supplier partners play an important part in contributing to our success through the achievement of our shared goals. These goals include targets to reduce environmental impact.
The required contributions of suppliers are set out within the RICOH Green Procurement standard.
The RICOH Green Procurement Standard
The RICOH Green Procurement Standard underpins all of our purchasing activities and ensures the goods we procure have minimum impact on the environment.
REACH
REACH is the EU and UK regulatory framework for Regulation, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals. As a supplier, you may be asked to supply information via the Chemsherpa database bi-annually. You can find more information about EU REACH here and UK REACH here.
For suppliers that cannot use this Chemsherpa tool, they must provide the information bi-annually via declarations, preferably on letter-headed paper. Although, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) can be accepted if the relevant information is contained on them.
